Make a prediction about what you think would happen. This is called a hypothesis. Here's an experiment to test your prediction. You'll need enough spare time to walk up and down the block four times. Pick one block with a pretty regular side block pattern. First walk down the whole block regularly and count how many steps it takes write it down. Second walk back regularly again and count how many cracks you step on. Write this down. Now walk back again making sure to step on every crack. Count your steps and write the total down. Once more walk avoiding every crack, walk as normally as possible. change the length of your pace only to avoid cracks. Count steps again and record
